A Policy Analysis of Regional Agendas in the Western Balkans
Sokol Zeneli
The transition of public procurement from a basic administrative and anti-corruption exercise to a strategic tool for socio-economic and environmental development is emerging as a crucial challenge for the Western Balkans Six (WB6). This policy brief analyses how Strategic Public Procurement (SPP) is integrated within key regional frameworks, including CEFTA, the Common Regional Market (CRM), the Green Agenda for Western Balkans (GAWB), and the EU Growth Plan.
This policy brief is published as part of the ProcuRe-ACT Competence Centre, an initiative supported by the “Support to EU-Integration Reform Processes in Kosovo” Project, implemented by the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH on behalf of the German Government.
