Re-ACT Lab and FES Kosovo Join Forces to Strengthen Kosovo’s Resilience
Prishtinë, Kosovo, 19 March 2025
Re-ACT Lab and Friedrich Ebert Stiftung (FES) Office in Kosovo are pleased to announce a new partnership and a Memorandum of Cooperation.
In today’s world, societies face a multitude of challenges. Building resilience – the ability to withstand, adapt to, and recover from shocks – is more critical than ever. Within Re-ACT Lab's Resilient Society programme, this partnership focuses on enhancing Kosovo's resilience to various ecological and institutional shocks. The core initiative of this partnership is the project: "Assessing the Resilience of Kosovar Society to Ecological and Institutional Shocks."
This project will involve an in-depth assessment of the impact of these shocks, a thorough analysis of adaptive strategies applied by public institutions, and the development of actionable policy recommendations to foster a more resilient society.
“In a world full of uncertainties, building resilience is key,” said Gresa Smolica, the Executive Director of Re-ACT Lab. She further added, “Through this project, we're aiming to equip Kosovo with the tools to not just react to shocks but to anticipate and mitigate their impact.”
Rudina Nallbani, the Programme Manager at the FES Office in Pristina, added, “This partnership underscores our commitment to supporting sustainable development and good governance in Kosovo. We believe that this project will provide valuable insights and contribute to building a stronger, more resilient society.”
The project is scheduled to run from March 2025 to March 2026, with research and policy activities conducted throughout this period.
The collaboration between Re-ACT Lab and FES Kosovo will provide valuable insights and policy recommendations for enhancing Kosovo's resilience. We encourage policymakers and stakeholders to follow our work and consider the project's findings in their efforts to address ecological and institutional shocks.
