Director of Programmes
Sokol Zeneli holds an L.L.M in International Law of Global Security, Peace and Development from the University of Glasgow, Institut Barcelona d'Estudis Internacionals (IBEI) and Leuphana University of Lüneburg. Sokol’s research focuses on topics related to EU Integration, Regional Cooperation, International Trade, and Sustainability Governance. Academically, Sokol has served as a Research Assistant at the University of Glasgow, focusing on the inclusiveness of peace processes internationally, and at the Leuphana University of Lüneburg focused on WTO and trade law, analysing the development of trade and sustainability chapters within Free Trade Agreements and their ability to protect environmental and human rights standards.
In WB6, Sokol has managed regional projects and initiatives related to peacebuilding and regional cooperation as part of the Regional Youth Cooperation Office (RYCO). He has extensive experience in following and analysing regional cooperation initiatives such as the Common Regional Market (CRM) and the work of CEFTA. Currently, he is monitoring the CRM Action Plan implementation and facilitating the consultation of the new CRM Action Plan 2024 - 2027.
At Re-ACT Lab, Sokol contributes to the management of our programmes and research on topics related to EU Integration, Resilience, Sustainable Development and Environmental Protection. He is strongly engaged in developing new projects/initiatives and establishing new partnerships with other institutions and donors.
