Junior Researcher
Cristopher De La Torre is an international and Constitutional Lawyer passionate about upholding human rights. He holds an L.L.M in International Law of Global Security, Peace and Development from the University of Glasgow, Institut Barcelona d'Estudis Internacionals (IBEI) and Leuphana University of Lüneburg. Currently, he is pursuing his second Master’s program in International Development Studies at the Geneva Graduate Institute.
Cristopher has valuable (international and national) work experience in the private and public sectors. He has worked as a consultant at Löning, a firm specialising in Responsible Business and Human Rights, based in Berlin. He also held research positions at academic institutions such as IBEI and USFQ, interned with government agencies like the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Defense of Ecuador and engaged with NGOs such as YudLeads and the Center for Research and Human Rights Studies (CIEDH).
De La Torre is interested in researching the dynamic interplay between international development, human rights, and justice. Building upon this nexus, he focuses on topics related to international cooperation, its contribution to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals, good governance, the rule of law, and human rights standards.
